Michael Krupa, Ed.D.

CEO and Founder

Michael is the Founder and CEO of TaraVista and MiraVistaBehavioral Health Centers as well as Health Partners New England, a psychiatric and addiction medicine consultation and management firm. Dr. Krupa is a licensed Psychologist and has held CEO, COO and department leadership positions for both not-for-profit and for-profit health care institutions for over 30 years. Dr. Krupa has consulted to and managed psychiatric services in over 60 hospitals and organizations and founded two hospitals.

Dr. Krupa has extensive experience with reimbursement and financial metrics, regulatory compliance, and with all aspects of inpatient and ambulatory operations within psychiatry and addictions. Dr. Krupa earned his doctoral degree from Harvard University and held an appointment at Harvard Medical School as a clinical supervisor of psychology and psychiatry trainees for ten years.

Throughout his career, Dr. Krupa has been a relentless advocate for the need for quality mental health and substance use disorders treatment.  In opening both MiraVista and TaraVista, he expanded access to these critical services in Western and Central Massachusetts and Middlesex County.  His work with community hospitals and agencies has brought needed resources to these organizations and enabled them to continue to provide behavioral health treatment to their communities.

Dr. Krupa has served on numerous boards including The Brattleboro Retreat, Concord Prison Outreach, Amesbury Psychological Associates, Adoptions with Love, and The Boston Institute for Psychotherapy.

Darlene V. Sejour, RN, MSN

Chief Nursing Officer

Darlene serves as our Chief Nursing Officer at TaraVista. She has distinguished herself both as a nurse and as a leader during her four year tenure at TaraVista and in her previous roles at UMass Memorial Health Alliance.  Darlene has dedicated  “heart and mind” to the field of psychiatric nursing.  She credits her success with being mentored by nurse leadership in her past roles and she carries the mission of mentorship forward in her approach to the management of  TaraVista’s clinical team.

Darlene’s participatory management style fosters a work culture that is focused on delivering patient centered care through the collaboration of all members of the TaraVista team. As Chief Nursing Officer, she is responsible for the oversight of the nursing department, the clinical operations of our programs and her “heart” still skips a beat each day when she is working side by side with the team caring for patients and their families. Darlene holds a Master’s Degree and Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Negar Beheshti, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Beheshti joined TaraVista as the Chief Medical Officer in April 2020, where she has been an integral part of TaraVista’s executive team. She supervises all psychiatry physicians, nurse practitioners, attendings, and oversees medical student, residency and nurse practitioner training at TaraVista.   She closely works with other directors within the facility to assure interdisciplinary partnerships in best practices and delivery of care at TaraVista.

Dr. Beheshti received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She is Board Certified in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She did her general psychiatry training in Minnesota and her child and adolescent sub-specialty training at Children’s Hospital Boston, where in both programs she served as Chief Resident during her last year of training.  After her residency, Dr. Beheshti worked at the University of Massachusetts, Department of Psychiatry for nearly 10 years where she held various leadership positions including Chief of Clinical Services for the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Department Quality Officer, Medical Director of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Emergency Mental Health and Consultation/Liaison Services, as well as the Department’s Physician and Staff Engagement Champion.

John Bujak

Chief Financial Officer

John is the Chief Financial Officer at TaraVista.  He has over 20 years of experience in both public and corporate accounting environments with companies ranging in size from start-up to Fortune 500.  Prior to joining TaraVista, John spent 9 years at a comprehensive community healthcare system, overseeing both front and back Business Office functions.  Throughout his career, John has worked with all levels of organizations on developing and implementing Business Office practices that provide for reliable financial results and sound operational insights.  In addition to providing fiscal leadership, John also oversees and provides guidance for the Human Resources, Facilities, Environmental Services, Dietary and Patient Accounting functions at the Hospital.  John received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Assumption University and is a Certified Public Account.

Joseph Doolin, MBA, MS

Chief People Officer

In his role as Chief People Officer for TaraVista and MiraVista Behavioral Health Centers, Joel is charged with overseeing the human resource and talent acquisition function for our network of care. He is responsible for building and retaining an exceptional team of caregivers and operations professionals to help fulfill our purpose of providing compassionate, effective and inspiring care to our patients. His philosophy is to create an HR infrastructure which strongly supports each organization as a whole and engages each member of our team to do their very best every day. Joel brings over 15 years of senior leadership experience and holds an MBA and and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Nichols College.  He is an active member of the National and New England Chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
