TaraVista Behavioral Health Center offers on-site internship experiences within our Clinical Services department for those in a master’s level graduate program. At TaraVista, graduate students will get the necessary experience and exposure to the field while ensuring skills are being developed to best prepare them for career readiness.
Our programming provides interns with a well-rounded clinical experience within a psychiatric hospital setting. This includes opportunities for assessment, treatment planning, crisis management, group facilitating and coordination of care.
During your internship, you will:

Partner with a master’s level clinician on a unit

Engage directly with patients

Strengthen clinical writing and assessment skills

Develop awareness of community resources through aftercare planning

Participate in systems meetings

Join in treatment planning meetings with a multidisciplinary team to support all patients

Receive weekly 1:1 supervision with independent licensed supervision

Ensure core competencies are met
Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a master’s level program in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or related program.

Satisfactory CORI background check.
