💙 Healing with Heart… one meal at a time.

When you think about healing in a hospital, you might picture nurses, physicians, therapists, or counselors. But every day at TaraVista, healing also begins in the kitchen.

Meet Diane and the TaraVista Food Services Team.

They believe something simple but powerful: Food is medicine. Medicine is healing.

For Diane and her team, those aren’t just words—they’re the heart of what they do.

Every day, the team prepares hundreds of meals that nourish patients ranging in age from 5 to over 75, carefully meeting individual dietary needs while making every tray feel a little more personal. They understand that for many patients, a familiar favorite meal, a warm breakfast, or simply having choices can bring comfort during an incredibly difficult time.

Their care doesn’t stop with patients. The team also prepares meals for the staff who care for them. They know that a lunch or dinner break is often the only chance a nurse, mental health counselor, therapist, or housekeeper has to recharge before returning to the unit. They understand that many Team Tara members are also parents, students, or caregivers at home. A good meal helps them refuel so they can continue giving their best to others.

Hospital food services are a vital part of patient care, supporting both physical recovery and emotional well-being. Every nutritious meal is another opportunity to help someone heal.

Diane has been part of TaraVista for nearly a decade. Recently promoted to Food Services Manager, she knows every corner of the kitchen because she’s worked every position on the team. That experience gives her a deep appreciation for every member of the department and the important role they play in the healing journey.

“I love working at TaraVista. The leadership team saw my ability to take on more responsibility before I saw it myself, and I was so honored to be promoted.”
— Diane, Food Services Manager

Today, Diane leads by example—supporting her team, pitching in wherever she’s needed, and making sure every meal is prepared with the same care and compassion that defines TaraVista.

At TaraVista, healing happens in every department. Our Food Services team reminds us that a nourishing meal can offer comfort, restore strength, and help patients and staff alike feel cared for. Because sometimes healing starts with something as simple—and as meaningful—as a warm meal prepared with heart.
