Healing with Heart đź’™ One Smile at a Time

The first thing you notice about Kaili is her smile. It’s there when she walks in, when she walks out, and all throughout the day as she cares for our youngest patients on TaraVista’s children’s unit. Her positivity is contagious—and she knows how far that can go with kids and families, even on the toughest days.

A nurse at TaraVista for 3½ years, Kaili loves helping her smallest patients feel a little bigger, stronger, and more confident—much like the origami creations they make together on the unit, one careful fold at a time.

What means the most to her? When a patient spells her name correctly in a handwritten letter. It’s a simple moment, but one that reminds her that her care is seen, felt, remembered, and making a difference.

When a very young child needs the safety, evaluation, and support of an inpatient psychiatric hospital, it can be one of the most difficult moments a family will ever face. It can also be challenging for pediatricians, therapists, schools, emergency departments, and other community providers who want the very best next step for a child in crisis. That’s where TaraVista can help—serving as a bridge to stabilization, healing, and a fresh start in treatment. Our multidisciplinary team works closely with families and referring providers to develop a plan that supports each child’s return home and continued care in the community.

As one of the few providers of acute-level psychiatric care for children ages 5 to 12, caring for children isn’t just what our staff does—it’s their life’s work. If you’re concerned about a young patient, family member, or loved one, we’re here to help guide you through the next steps. Call our intake team 24/7 at 978-615-5252. Healing has a place to grow at TaraVista.
