Supporting Youth Mental Health Throughout the Summer

Summer offers children and teens time to recharge, connect with friends and family, and enjoy new experiences. But the loss of daily school routines, changing schedules, increased screen time, and social pressures can also affect a young person's mental health. Staying connected and recognizing early changes in mood or behavior can help families identify concerns before they become a crisis.

Our latest blog shares practical summer mental health tips for parents and caregivers, including ways to support children and adolescents, recognize early warning signs of mental health struggles, and know when it may be time to seek professional help. Read our Youth Mental Health Summer Guide Here.

If concerns become more urgent, TaraVista is here to help. Our experienced Admissions Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer questions, discuss behavioral health treatment options, and guide families and referring professionals through the admission process. Call 978-615-5252 anytime, or visit our Mental Health Resources page for additional resources.

Healing Grows at TaraVista

This November, TaraVista Behavioral Health Center celebrates ten years of caring for individuals and families across our region.
Since opening our doors in 2016, we’ve provided hospital-level psychiatric care to nearly 50,000 children, adolescents, and adults—addressing one of the most crucial needs in behavioral health today.

Through a global pandemic, surging demand, and a growing recognition that mental health is essential to overall well-being, one thing has remained constant: our team’s unwavering commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

We’re deeply grateful for the collaboration of our community partners, state agencies such as the Department of Mental Health, hospitals, schools, and dedicated practitioners who share our mission to restore hope and healing.

Our founder, Dr. Michael P. Krupa, envisioned TaraVista as a hospital purpose-built for healing—bright, safe, and designed for both connection and privacy. That vision continues to guide us every day. 💚
