Meet Marcia Hurley, Benefits & Leave Manager, The Vistas
Behind every team dedicated to caring for others are people equally committed to caring for that team.
For Marcia Hurley, that commitment is at the heart of her work. Since joining TaraVista in 2022, Marcia has been a trusted resource for employees, helping them navigate life’s changes, challenges, and sometimes unexpected circumstances with compassion, understanding, and reassurance.
Now serving as Benefits & Leave Manager for The Vistas, Marcia believes that supporting employees is another important way of supporting the patients and families who depend on us.
We’re delighted to introduce Marcia in our latest I’m Team Tara Spotlight and share what makes her proud to be part of Team Tara.
“One of the things I love most about being part of The Vistas is knowing that our work makes a meaningful difference in the lives of people facing mental health challenges. Mental health deserves the same attention and respect as physical health, and I’m proud to be part of an organization that helps reduce stigma and reminds people that recovery is possible.
While my role in Human Resources doesn’t involve direct patient care, I see the compassion behind that care every day. It’s reflected in the way our employees speak about patients, support one another, and approach their work with kindness and respect. Our employees truly are the heart of this organization.
As Benefits & Leave Manager, my role is to support the people who spend their days caring for others. Whether helping an employee understand their insurance benefits, prepare for a leave of absence, or navigate an unexpected challenge, I want them to feel informed, reassured, and supported every step of the way.
Benefits and leave processes can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially during difficult or uncertain times. I see my role as both an educator and an advocate, helping simplify those processes, answer questions, and make sure employees understand their options. Sometimes that means explaining a complicated benefit, helping someone through a work-related injury, or simply being a reassuring voice when they need one.
Above all, I want every employee to know they have someone they can turn to, someone who will listen, help them find answers, and advocate for their needs.
I joined TaraVista in April 2022 and moved into my current role in January 2026. I’ve worked in Human Resources since 2008 and hold my SHRM-CP certification.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me enjoying a good book or attending a concert!”
I’m Team Tara. And I’m proud to be part of a team that cares.
